Creative Designer

Duties and Responsibilities

Creative Designers work in areas of marketing and advertising to create various materials, such as videos (e.g. game trailers, BTS, online ads), graphics, photos and audio, that support clients' marketing/PR strategy.  Creative Designers follow the process from concept to rough layout to prototype to completed project utilizing his/her skill of Video Editing, Graphic Design, Art or Photography background.


<Produce Design Concepts>

With manager, Creative Designers initialize a project by coming up with a general concept and presenting the idea with a rough layout that might include sketches, digital illustrations or reference video/audio.


<Assist with Prototype Development>

In production stage, Creative Designers collaborate with manager and internal/external team to ensure that the prototype is created within project specifications and expectations.


<Coordinate Services of Outside Vendors>

Creative Designers often work on projects with outside vendors. It is Creative Designer’s responsibility for finding vendors to work with and manage production schedule.



Creative Designers must be strong communicators who think creatively, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines. They should thrive in a collaborative environment and possess strong problem-solving, decision-making and organizational skills. A Creative Designer should take a customer-driven approach to creating marketing and advertising materials.


Core skills:

  • Presenting concept visualization through sketches, drawings and illustrations

  • Overseeing design changes and improvements throughout the development process

  • Integrating technical and visual solutions into a design concept

  • Understanding trends within the scope of the industry

  • Knowledge of video editing, graphic design and other relevant software


Advanced skills:

  • 3D software, Unreal Engine, Programing, Web design

  • Bilingual (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, or French)
